Four thousand Johannesburg Jews braved the coldest night of the year last night to sit huddled in their overcoats in the Wembly Stadium here while leaders of South African Jewry hailed the accomplishments of the State of Israel on the occasion of its ninth birthday. Gabriel Doron, Israel consul general in the Union, told them that interference with Israeli flagships in the Suez Canal would be regarded by Israel as a violation of its territory.
