Fourteen prominent Arab intellectuals called for the cancellation of a Holocaust denial conference scheduled to be held at the end of the month in Beirut, according to the Israeli daily Ha’aretz. Among those joining the call last week were Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish and Columbia University Professor Edward Said.
