A delegation of the ORT has conferred with Labor Minister Charles Pomaret regarding extension of its activities in France along lines helpful to passive defense through establishment of ORT workshops to teach the wives and children of Jews who were mobilized the kind of professions useful in wartime. Interested in having more qualified workers for any tasks that can help French industry, the Labor Minister not only approved the ORT projects but offered his assistance in providing buildings and other facilities for the workshops, which will have to be situated in localities assigned by the ministry, outside the war zones.
