In the wake of last week’s terrorist attack on El Al plane passengers at Istanbul airport, the French government has ordered security measures increased in an effort to prevent any terrorist actions here.
Police sources said that security at all French ports of entry, particularly airports, has been beefed up, with the need for careful luggage searches emphasized. The sources said that surveillance of Israeli property, including the embassy and El Al facilities, has been increased and that efforts to infiltrate groups inside France that might give aid to terrorists have been redoubled.
