The French Government is still considering its possition on Palestine, but will not support a solution which is not agreeable to both ## and Arabs, a Foreign Office spokesman said today in reply to questions at his ##skly press conference. He cited the recent violence in India which followed partition that had been agreed to by both sides.
(At Lake Success today, the French delegation disclosed that it had asked ##man Herbert Evatt of the Ad Hoc Committee on Palestine to place a French representative on the sub-committee drafting a partition plan, but its request was disregarded.)
