France will deliver 2, 000 semi-automatic rifles of 1949 manufacture to Syria, the newspaper Paris Soir reported today. The same newspaper asserted that France had recently shipped six Mystere jets to Israel and was readying another six.
The Syrian rifles are being shipped under an order placed March 14, 1957, Le Soir said. It added that 13 cases of guns were shipped last week to Syria under the sane contact.
