The National Social Welfare Assembly–central ##ational organization for social welfare planning–elected Frank L. Weil, president of the National Jewish Welfare Board, as its new president at its annual meeting ###re yesterday. Mr. Weil, a founder of the Assembly, served as chairman of its executive committee since the organization’s inception three years ago.The Assembly comprises 40 affiliate national voluntary organizations, 12 federal government agencies and four associate groups. Its purpose is to facilitates more effective operation of organized social welfare, study and define social welfare problems and human needs and develop plans of action to meet them, and to ###ct on behalf of social welfare where representation of its interests are indicated.
