Karl Hermann Frank, gauleiter of the sudetenland and Nazi “boss” of Boheia-Moravia, has been called to Germany “for military service,” it was reported here today.

Frank has become notorious for the cruelty of his treatment of the conquered Czechs. His recall from a post in which he functioned as actual leader of Nazi forces in the protectorate, caused a good deal of surprise. Friction between him and Baron Constantin von Neurath, Reich protector, was said to be the cause.
