Dr. J. Hoffman, rabbi of the Frankfort Jewish Community and a member of the Reichs Representation of Jews in Germany, has been arrested by the Gestapo, it was learned today.
No reason was given for the arrest, but it was believed to be in connection with an address in Berlin in which he said that the Jews have no future in Germany. Dr. Hoffman is a Hungarian citizen, and because of this his release is expected soon.
