Rebuilding is in progress of Frankfurt’s East End synagogue, built in 1913 and destroyed by the Nazis in 1938. With seating accommodations for 1,400 persons, the synagogue when completed will be one of the largest in Western Europe. It is expected to be ready in the summer of 1950.
