The State Department announced this week-end the appointment of Frederic R. Sanborn of New York as the United States member of the Supreme Restitution Court for Berlin.
The court was set up by international agreement to pass on cases of restitution of property to persons deprived of such property by the Nazi regime. It is composed of three German judges, one British, one French and one American judge, in addition to a neutral president. It is the final court of action on restitution matters in Berlin.
