Honorary degrees of Doctor of Hebrew Letters will be conferred on Dr. Solomon B. Freehof, President of the Central Conference of American Rabbis; Reuven Rubin, Palestine painter; and the late Abraham Ahron Kabak, Hebrew novelist and writer who died recently, at commencement exercises of the Jewish Institute of Religion on Sunday.
An honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity will be conferred upon Sydney E. Goldstein, associate rabbi of the Free Synagogue, at the same time. Fourteen members of the class of 1945 will be ordained by Dr. Stephen S. Wise, bringing to 165 the total number of graduates of the Institute.
