Freeze Slices Citrus Crop

An early freeze last fall reduced Israel’s citrus exports by ten percent but the income is expected to be about $118 million, the same as two seasons ago. Mordechai Makeleff, director general of the Citrus Marketing Board said a cold wave hit the California citrus crop as well and as a result Israel could beat California in the Far Eastern market.
