Sol H. Freiberg will be reappointed a member of the Board of Health for a term of ten years, effective August 1, Mayor Russell Wilson stated in a notice to City Council. The council is expected to confirm the appointment at its meeting Wednesday.
Mr. Freiberg is just completing a ten-year term as a member of the Board, during which he served for a time as its president.
He has been active in public health matters for many years, particularly in the fight against tuberculosis. He was one of the founders of the Cincinnati Anti-Tuberculosis League and has served on its board of directors continually for more than twenty-five years.
