French attitudes toward Israel have improved greatly during the past four years, according to a new poll. Some 38 percent of French citizens said they sympathized with Israel and an equal number chose the Palestinians, according to the poll, conducted by the Pew survey organization. Four years ago, 36 percent sympathized with the Palestinians and 19 percent with Israel.
