French banks will try to identify dormant accounts belonging to Holocaust victims and turn over the funds to relatives, the French Banking Association announced Wednesday. The banks also pledged to provide information about victims’ dormant accounts by September to a government-appointed panel probing wartime France’s treatment of Jews.
