French Begin Offensive on Palestine Frontier

A French offensive in southern Lebanon on the Palestine frontier began yesterday.

In a heavy battle which developed yesterday many Druzes were killed. The Bedouin village, Chendoar, in the Alchuleh area, on the Palestine was bombarded by the French. Many were wounded. A number of the wounded Druzes were brought by the Bedonins to the Jewish colony, Metullah, and were sent to the Hadassah hospital in Safed.
