Most French-Canadian leaders and practically every French-Canadian newspaper in Quebec have swung into the campaign to condemn and up-root anti-Semitism in the province, the Canadian Jewish Congress has revealed.
One of the most important Catholic youth organizations in the country has sponsored a campaign of education to acquaint the Catholic French-Canadains with Jewish affairs and all Catholic seminaries in Queber are offering lecture courses about the Jews of Canada. The major book distribution centers have been prevailed upon to eleminate anti-Jewish literature from their stock and frequend conferences are held between Jewish and Catholic leaders on problems of mutual interest, the Congress stated.
