One of the main squares of Toulouse was named for Tel Aviv today as one of the highlights of “Israel Week” in the French city.
The official event opened Tuesday with a reception at the Toulouse airport for a Tel Aviv delegation led by Mayor Mordechai Namir. The entire city was decked out with French and Israeli flags. Another highlight will be a concert to be given by the noted cellist Pablo Casals. Mayor Namir will present the Spanish musician with a check for $1, 000 to aid the victims of the recent Barcelona flood disaster.
