The French delegation at the United Nations will fully support the recommendations on Palestine contained in Bernadotte’s report, it was learned here today following the issuance of a communique by the French Government.
The communique stated that the French Government considers that Bernadette’s report as a whole constitutes a useful basis for negotiations. An outline of Bernadette’s report was presented to the Cabinet by Foreign Minister Robert Schumen. The Council of Ministers expressed gratification over the fact that the report recommends the internationalization of the Holy Places in Jerusalem.
