The internment of an unstated number of French Jews by the Egyptian Government, in the course of the anti-semitic outbursts last month, was the subject today of a report to the Cabinet by Foreign Minister Robert Schuman.
The Cabinet members also discussed the confiscation by Egyptian customs officials of goods seized on French ships. It was reported that the French Ambassador at Cairo has made repeated protests to the Cairo Government, but without avail, both on the question of the interned French nationals and the freight confiscations. The French Government, it is said, will claim compensation for both acts.
