The Jewish Consistory of France today held a gala reception in honor of Grand Rabbi Jacob Kaplan, who was recently elected as a member of the Institut Francais. Among the many Jewish and non-Jewish personalities who paid tribute to Rabbi Kaplan were Baron Alain de Rothschild, president of the Central Jewish Consistory of France, and Rabbi Paul Baer, who spoke for the Chief Rabbinate of Paris.
