French Jews Dedicate Monument to 100,000 Deportees Murdered in Nazi Death Camps

Thousands of French Jews today attended the dedication at Drancy, site of a Jewish concentration camp during the German occupation, of a monument to the 100,000 victims who were deported from Drancy to death camps in Poland. Religious services were led by Chief Rabbi Julian Weil of Paris.
