CRIF, the representative council of French Jewry, said in a statement today that all French Jews hoped that there would be prompt action by Soviet authorities to implement the assurance of Premier Kosygin during his visit here that the Soviet Union would expedite permission to Soviet Jews to emigrate and be reunited with their families abroad.
The Premier made his statement during a press conference here on December 3 in response to a question concerning reunion of Jewish families split during the Nazi period.
