The French National Radio will start a daily 15-minute Yiddish broadcast that will be beamed to Eastern Europe and will be heard clearly as far away as Moscow. The program will carry news of a non-partisan nature as well as cultural and educational items. No date was announced for the start of the broadcasts but they are expected to begin before the end of the year.
