The Marquess of Polignac, French member of the International Olympic Committee, issued a statement today bitterly attacking the Fair Play Committee, recently organized group opposed to participation in the Olympic Game at Berlin.
The Marquess accuses the Fair Play Committee, which is composed of many notables in the sports, business and political worlds, of bad faith, affirming that Germany is keeping its pledge to admit Jews to its Olympic team. He points to the invitation to Helene Mayer and demands that France unreservedly participate in the games this Summer.
