A French Parliamentary delegation completed last night a ten-day tour of Israel and expressed confidence of the continued growth of Franco-Israel friendship and trade. The members of the delegation were visibly impressed with Israel’s achievements.
At a press conference prior to leaving the country, one French MP, a representative from Madagascar, dwelt at length on the possibility of increased trade between the Jewish State and France’s East African possessions. He suggested that African timber and meat could be shipped through the port of Elath and paid for in Israeli cement and fertilizers.
