French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin returned to France amid Arab criticism for his remarks about Hezbollah during a three-day visit to Israel and the Palestinian areas. Palestinian students pelted Jospin with stones at Bir Zeit University in Ramallah on Saturday. They were angry over his condemnation of Hezbollah attacks on Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon as “terrorist acts.” Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat apologized for the incident.
