Horace Decarbuccia, editor of Gringoire, France’s most violent anti-Jewish publication before World War II and during the early years of the war, was arraigned before a military tribunal here today for trial on charges of having supplied intelligence information to the enemy.
The Gringoire editor was convicted in absentia on these charges in 1950 and was sentenced to five years at hard labor. The paper flourished under the German Nazi occupation of France.
