The French people’s indignation at the proposed introduction of the Nurenberg Laws throughout all of France, which was forecast early this week by Louis Darquier de Pellepoix, Vichy Commissioner for Jewish Affairs, was revealed today by the Nazi-controlled Toulouse radio. A large number of letters containing insults and threats have been received by Pellepoix since he announced the new regulations, the broadcast admitted.
The Paris radio today reported that Henri La Broue had delivered the first lecture in his series at the Sorbonne on the ” Jewish question.” A chair for the study of “Jewish Affairs” was created by the Nazis last month. La Broue’s lecture, the Paris radio said, was attended by the dean and members of the faculty of the University.
Reports reaching here from Belgium today disclose that employers there have been forbidden to grant special New Year’s bonuses to any Jewish employees who remain in their establishments.
