The formation of an Association of Non-Party Zionists, composed of Jews sympathetic to Zionist aims but who are not members of any wing of the Zionist Party, was announced here today as a result of friction within Zionist ranks in South Africa.

Eleven members of the executive of the South African Zionist Federation simultaneously issued a call urging all General Zionist societies to join the newly-formed Association. On the other hand, the Zionist Laborites and the Mizrachi indicated today that they oppose the Association. They charge the new body aims at breaking up the existing Zionist groups and establishing “a one-party system of totalitarian character.”
