The Friends of New Germany. American pro-Nazi organization, will hold a memorial meeting next Tuesday in Madison Square Garden Bowl in Astoria in honor of the late German president, Paul von Hindenburg, it was announced today.
The organization announced that it expects the 60,000 seats in the bowl to be completely filled.
One of the features of the memorial meeting is to be a torchlight parade of the uniformed members of the Ordnungsdienst, the picked uniformed guard of the organization, which has been compared by the leaders of the organization to the dreaded, black shirted, Schutz Staffel Hitlerite guard in Germany, which carried out the executions during the “purge” of June 30.
According to the announcement by the Friends of New Germany admission of twenty-five and fifty cents will be charged and all revenue over and above the expenses of the meeting will be turned over to groups engaged in relief work among American war veterans. The list of speakers at the meeting has not been announced as yet.
