The Jewish Servicemen’s Committee in Budapest was introduced by the Ministry of Interior to launch a campaign for the collection of funds and clothing for needy Jews in the Hungarian labor service, it was reported here today from Hungary.
In response, the committee has issued an appeal to the Jews of Hungary appealing for contributions. “This is a matter of honor for Hungarian Jewry,” the appeal says. We must help those who are unable to provide for themselves.” Barred from combat divisions, the Jews of Hungary, are conscripted for labor service only.
