Funeral services for Max Greenfield, Brooklyn Jewish philanthropist who died Tuesday at the age of eighty-two, were held yesterday at the Congregation Sons of Israel, Benson and Twenty-first avenues, Brooklyn. Services were conducted by Rabbi Nacham Eben, and burial was at the Washington Cemetery.
Mr. Greenfield was one of the founders of the Bensonhurst community and one of the early members of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities. He was an honorary member of the Home of the Daughters of Jacob in the Bronx and honorary vice-president of Congregation Sons of Israel, Brooklyn.
Mr. Greenfield is survived by his widow, Rose; a brother, Sam; his sister, Esther Kohn, and five sons.
