Funeral services took place here today for Ellis A. Gimbel, philanthropist, civic leader and businessman who died last Friday at the age of 84. The services were held at Temple Knesseth Israel and the remains were buried at the Mount Sinai Cemetery.
Mr. Gimbel was a director of the Federation of Jewish Charities of this city and of the Association for Jewish Children of Philadelphia. He also contributed to other Jewish charities.
