Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at Forward Hall for M. L. Halpern, noted Jewish poet, who died suddenly from a heart attack at the age of 46.
Interment took place at the cemetery of the Jewish National Workers Alliance. The services were arranged by the J. L. Peretz Writers Club.
Eulogies were delivered by H. Rogoff, S. Niger, A. L. Glantz, J. Glatstein, R. Eisland, H. Lieberman, M. Boraisha.
Mr. Halpern was one of the most prominent modern Jewish poets and had a large following. He came to this country in 1908.
