Funeral services were held here yesterday afternoon for Aaron D. Markson, outstanding Detroit Hebraist and educator, and translator into Hebrew of Mark Twain’s “The Prince and the Pauper.”
Those who officiated at the funeral included Rabbis A. M. Hershman. E. Aishiskin, Moses Fischer and Rabbi Max Weine.
Mr. Markson succumbed to an operation at the Providence hospital. He had been an outstanding figure in the local educational system for the past twelve years and for the last seven years was the head of the Hebrew High School.
