Funeral services were held yesterday for Edmond E. Wise, outstanding attorney and active in Jewish undertakings, who died suddenly on Saturday at the age of sixty-seven. Interment took place at the Salem Fields Cemetery.
Mr. Wise was born of American parents in Cassel, Germany, on February 12, 1865. He was general counsel for R. H. Macy & Company.
He was a trustee of the Hebrew Orphan Home, the Clara de Hirsch Home for Working Girls and the Fred L. Lavanburg Foundation. He was also an active member of the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies of both New York and Brooklyn, the United Hospital Fund, the Educational Alliance and the Legal Aid Society.
