Funeral services were held yesterday for Max Ascher, motion picture exhibitor, who died Friday at the Michael Reese Hospital. He was 45 years old. Born in Chicago Mr. Ascher had been in business here all his life. At one time he and his brothers, Nathan and Harry, operated a chain of 64 motion picture houses under the name of Ascher Brothers. The chain was sold in 1929.
Mr. Ascher is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. Pauline Ellenstein, Mrs. Lillian Horn and Mrs. Carrie Hechmer, all of New York City.
