Funeral services were held here today for Max Herzberg, for twenty-five years associated with philanthropic and charitable movements in local Jewish circles. He was for more than a score of years president of the United Hebrew Charities, and an officer of the Federation of Jewish Philosophical Societies founded largely through his efforts. Mr. Herzberg, who was sixty-three years old, was an attorney, and connected wiah the University of Pennsylvania Law School in an advisory capacity. He was unmarried and is survived by six brother and sisters, all younger.
