Funeral services were held at noon yesterday at Temple Adath Israel, the Bronx, for Bernhard Rabbino, civic worker and former rabbi, who died Friday after an illness of two years. He was seventy-three years old. Interment was in Brith Abraham cemetery, Newark, N. J.
Born in Russia, Mr. Rabbino studied for the rabbinate and occupied pulpits in several American cities. He gave up the rabbinate to study law and engaged in practice on the East Side, where he became widely known for his legal and financial assistance to distressed! families.
He was the first counsel for the Legal Aid Bureau of the Educational Alliance and one of the leaders in the movement to have domestic relations courts established.
He is survived by his widow, four daughters, a brother and two sisters.
