Funeral services will be held here tomorrow for Rabbi Norman Gerstenfeld, spiritual leader of the Washington Hebrew Congregation, and one of the best known clergymen in the nation’s capital. The Reform rabbi died here of a heart attack Saturday at the age of 63.
Born in London, he came to the United States in 1917, and was ordained at the Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati. He also held degrees from the American University here and was a Fellow in Jewish Philosophy at HUC in 1935.
