Funeral services will be held at Temple Israel, New York, this morning.’ for the late Samuel Wallach, head of Wallach Brothers clothiers, who died Sunday at his home. He was 68 years old.
Born on the East Side, he went to work as an errand boy at the age of 13. He went in business for himself, starting with a hat ship on the Bowery, which expanded into a chain of stores which were the beginning of Wallach Brothers.
He is survived by two sons, Emanuel H. and Irving S., two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice F. Gaines and Mrs. William F. Eisler; three sisters and three brothers.
Rabbi Louis Binstock was assured of the presidency of the New Orleans, La., Rotary Club for the coming term, when he was nominated for the post by unanimous acclamation.
