Funeral services will be held at the Free Synagogue here tomorrow for Herman Shulman, vice-chairman of the American Zionist Emergency Council, who died in Stamford, Conn., yesterday after a brief illness. He was 48.
Mr. Shulman had been very active in the Zionist movement in recent years, and was chairman of the emergency council’s administrative committee until las week, when he was named one of the four vice-chairman of the executive committee. He represented the Zionists before the platform committee of the last Democratic Party national convention, which adopted a strong pro-Zionist plank. Leaders of the American Zionist movement, including Dr. Stephen S. Wise, Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver, Judge Louis E. Levinthal, Emanual Neumann and Daniel Frisch issued statements today mourning his passing.
