Yeshiva University has received a gift of $1, 000, 000 from Sol furst of New York, an industrialist, to advance the university’s $30, 000, 000 “Blueprint for the Sixties, ” Dr. Samuel Belkin, president, announced today.
Dr. Belkin said the university would name the first structure in its building program the Sol and Hilda Furst Hall. The new unit is a $3, 000, 000 classroom and administration building which was opened last month and which will be dedicated October 28. Simultaneously, The cornerstone will be laid for the second building, a $2, 500, 00 eight-story residence hall. The buildings are being. constructed at the university’s main center in upper Manhattan.
