Brazil will be represented at the World Zionist Congress by Dr. M. Helfman, candidate of the General Zionists and of the Poale-Zion.

Dr. Helfman was elected by a majority of over a thousand votes. The Zionist-Revisionist candidate, Professor Bodenheimer, polled about 600 votes.

The elections, which were held July 23, were without untoward incident except in Sao Paulo, where the director of the Sao Paulo Yiddishe Zeitung, Frankenthal, was attacked by a Revisionist. Revisionist leaders condemned the attacker, and expelled him from the local Brith Trumpeldor.
