Uncertainty as to Greta Garbo’s next story was over with definite announcement from Metro-Gold-wyn-Mayer that she will next appear in “The Painted Veil.” Richard Boleslavsky will direct this adaptation of W. Somerset Maugham’s novel. Salka Viertel, who collaborated on “Queen Christina,” has been assigned to work on the script with John Meehan. Hunt Stromberg will produce the picture.
