General Yigal Allon, Israel’s Minister of Labor, arrived in the United States to take part in the campaign for State-of Israel Bonds. He is widely known for his outstanding leadership as Commander-in-Chief of the Palmach, the shock troop division of the Jewish Defense Forces in Palestine, which played a major role in Israel’s War of Liberation.
