Representatives of the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration, the Joint Distribution Committee, the State Department and military officials will meet tomorrow with Gen. Mark Clark, American commander in Austria, to discuss the problem of displaced Jews, about 6,000 of whom are in the zone administered by Gen. Clark.
The decision to hold such a meeting followed a demonstration through the streets of Linz, Austria, by 300 Polish Jewish D.P.s, which resulted in the dismissal from his post of the American commander of the camp in which the Jews had been held. The 300 demonstrated to protest against their transfer by the unnamed officer from the camp where they were quartered to one that was formerly used to house prisoners of war. Following their protests, Gen. Clark ordered leaders of the group taken on a tour of several available camps, so that they could decide to which they wished to be transferred.
