General John H. Hilldring, former Assistant Secretary of State in charge of Displaced Persons and later alternate U.S. delegate to the United Nations who helped to secure the Palestine “partition” resolution, today received the fourth annual Brotherhood Day Award conferred by the Men’s Club of Congregation B’nai Jeshurun at Brotherhood Day ceremonies. The presentation was made at a luncheon by Dr. Israel Goldstein, rabbi of the synagogue, which is the second oldest in New York.
